Workshops at Café Fresco

Have you heard about our monthly workshops at the Café Fresco? Each month we welcome an Artist to host a workshop at the Café on the last Monday of every month. We have been holding these workshops for the last 6 months and it has been so much fun learning new skills and enjoying a coffee and cake whilst doing so!

The lovely Café Fresco open their doors to ticket holders to try out their hand at a variety of different crafts in a morning or afternoon session depending on what works for you.

In December we welcomed back Pom Pom Factory, creators of the Café Fresco Flower Installation, to host two Christmas themed paper flower workshops. In the workshops PPF Founder, Karen, taught us how to make the traditional Christmas flower, the Poinsettia, from coloured paper of your choice.

Starting 2022 off with a clay hand building workshop run by Nice Pear Ceramics, we had great fun learning how to make vases, pots and even trying our hand at free-styling some objects.

In February we were so excited to welcome Nusye McComish from SouthSeaEyes, who held a fantastic day of workshops which saw us creating our own designs through linocut relief printmaking. Ticket holders were able to take home their own prints and greeting cards, a wonderful day had by all.

We have continued to host monthly workshops with creators such as Southsea Macrame and James Mouland Paper Marbling.

In June we welcome back Hollie from Nice Pear Ceramics to teach us how to create mugs and vases, and in July we will become immersed in the addictive world of Papercutting with Leigh Madden of Leighs Paper Jungle.

These workshops are for total beginners and all about having a go, being a part of it, in good company whilst you’re doing so! If you haven’t tried out one of our workshops we highly recommend giving it a go. We’d love to see you there!

Ticket prices are subsidised by 50% for CourtX Members. With Social Memberships costing £10 per year.
